Mission StatementSilent Disco wants to spread 21st century concepts of group experience and make these concepts accepted alternatives for the current ways of clubbing and enjoying (live) music. Innovation and quality are prioritySilent Disco uses contemporary technology for new concepts. Silent Disco creates exclusive parties with the best music broadcast in perfect sound quality. This was the ambition of the founders and creators of the Silent Disco: Nico Okkerse and Michael Minten. On the first day of their enterprise they defined their goal: to bring these concepts of new experiences all over the world. Their dream has become reality. Since the summer of 2002 they have been presenting many live radio broadcast shows at parties and festivals worldwide as NO dj and dj OD.
The sound is superb, state of the art; in 2007 Silent Disco has created a new digital headphone, custom made for the purpose of the show.
Stereo quality delivered directly to your ears. The dj’s of the Silent Disco create a special atmosphere with their interactive broadcast. The participants enjoy the freedom to move however they want, as spectators don’t know what they are dancing to. Digital sound quality results in audiences forgetting they wear headphones and singing along like no one can hear them.
To make the show even more special, the Silent Disco can broadcast music to the crowd on two channels. The audience can choose the music channel on their headphone by switching instantly. The freedom and dynamic of the show has proven to be a success formula in any environment.
Apart from Silent Disco being an instant solution for noise pollution, 433fm.com has always actively worked to assure public safety. Earprotection issues and safe volume limits are an important topic. Silent Disco dj’s work with volume limiters and strive to combine our responsibility to the audience with quality and fun. On top of this every headphone contains a volume button, so participants can choose their personal volume level. Silent Disco is a safer way to enjoy music than clubbing or many live event.
Silent Disco goes globalSince 2002 the Silent Disco has developed into a large and well-known show that cannot be missed at many of the established festivals. The number of headphones offered to the audience per show has increased from several hundreds to over 2.500.

More SDL shows with guest artists are being prepared for 2009. With Silent Disco there are no more limitations on the venue choice due to difficult acoustics, which increases the opportunity to perform beyond the ordinary venue. For instance the lack of base trembles from a normal PA system, which can damage the structure or upset the neighbours by creating noise spill outside is not present. New spaces, as former churches, can be opened as a venue for Silent Disco.
In 2009 all of the above shows will be developed further. Information on customized performances for special events can also be obtained by contacting
